Waldo Point Harbor 2014 Sausalito, CA |
Waldo Point Harbor has been flooding on a semi-regular basis and needed extensive work to raise the grade and repair the docks. JW Rigney Construction has been working on the overall grade, the moorings, the dock, the dock ramps and several smaller structures as part of this project.
Working on docks requires a specialized set of skills due to the extreme elements which will take a toll on all structures and foundations. As of Fall of 2013 this project is well underway and should be completed soon.

Understory Addition 2010 San Mateo, CA |
This San Mateo home had an insufficient lot to accomodate the space needed by the homeowners. Their choice was to add a new story to the house, but rather than go up, they chose to go down.
JW Rigney Construction propped up the foundation of the house, removed the rear of the house for access to the existing crawl space, then began excavating. In no time at all, the new story was created and the home had more living space. This project also involved a more standard rear of the home addition which was completed after the understory addition was completed.

Vertical Addition 2010 San Francisco, CA |
This Pacific Heights home in San Francisco, like so many homes in San Francisco, had a zero lot and had no yard for an addition. Their answer was to go up! In this project, JW Rigney Construction received completed designs from an architect which detailed the project parameters.
Building a vertical addition on a zero lot presents a specific set of challenges which require a set of skills few general contractors possess. This project was completed on time and on budget, creating a vast new master suite for the client.

Main Dock 2016 Sausalito, CA |
This is Main Dock in Sausalito, part of the larger Waldo Point project. Here you see the project in progress. Images in this set include a trash enclosure, handicap entrance, lighting, fencing, plumbing and electrical, walkway improvements and the dock entrance.
This project, like the others involved raising the entrance to the dock to prevent flooding issues, replace parking areas, outbuildings and dock and ensure a longer lasting structure made of redwood. Image details show redwood, concrete, steel and other elements that are designed to withstand the harsh weather in and around the docks.
